The City's law enforcement needs are provided by the Edgewood Police Department, a full service police agency. The responsibilities of the Police Department are to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Edgewood. Duties range from routine patrols to criminal investigations. 

The Police Department also provides vacation checks for residences and security inspections of homes and businesses. The Department will assist residents in establishing and maintaining neighborhood watch programs.

Interested citizens who would like to ride with an Edgewood patrol unit as an observer can do so. Contact the Edgewood Police Department at 407-851-2820 for details. The Police Station is located at 5565 S. Orange Avenue (west side of the Edgewood City Hall building). For emergency service dial 911.
