Welcome to the Edgewood Police Department’s website.  I trust you will find useful information about the department along with tips to improve your quality of life.  Edgewood is a fast-paced community with over 40,000 visitors traveling Orange Avenue daily.  We are approximately 4 miles south of downtown Orlando and adjacent to the world’s most popular tourist destinations as well as the Orlando International Airport.

The Edgewood Police Department strives to provide extraordinary service to enhance our community’s quality of life.  We are a community-oriented police department and work closely with our residential and commercial partners to ensure we enhance the safety of the citizens as well as the many visitors who pass through our great city every day.

I am proud to serve at the Police Chief for the City of Edgewood.  I began my law enforcement career in 1991 as a Deputy Sheriff for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department (CA).  In 1994, I moved to the Central Florida area when I was hired as police officer for the City of Orlando.  I have served in many different roles including patrol, neighborhood patrol unit, detective, patrol supervisor, detective sergeant, intelligence unit supervisor, Watch Commander, Violent Crimes Initiatives Commander, Traffic Commander, Patrol Commander, Special Operations Commander, Director of Airport Police Operations, and Criminal Investigations Commander.

I have served as Field Training Officer, SWAT Deputy Commander, Emergency Services Unit Commander, Critical Incidents Stress Management Team member, and Labor Advisor.  I retired with the Orlando Police Department as a Captain in 2023.

I am an active member of the Florida Police Chief’s Association, Central Florida Criminal Justice Association, Orange Osceola County Chief’s Association, and International Association of Chief’s of Police.  I believe in joining partnering with local, state, and federal agencies to provide the best law enforcement service to the Edgewood community.
